We have made a pre-auction bid on a house in Victoria two weeks before the auction "subject to a satisfactory contract review". Well, its now 5 days before the auction and the agent says the contract is still not ready due to a "complication between the vendor and their solicitor". What are your thoughts on this? Does this raise a red flag, even if the contract somehow gets drafted before then?
