Would love to hear any views on which of these sites is considered superior in order to sell a property.

From my perspective, as a buyer of several properties over the years, i really found there was little or no difference between the two sites. I presume most people like me, actively searching for properties to buy, search both sites and get daily emails from both. As a consumer it seems you get the same basic facts about the property and the same few photos, there appears to be very little difference.

But now I'm moving to sell a property, I'm curious if Agents have a preference for one or the other. I've been told Realestate.com.au is more expensive than Domain. Do most Agents use both? or just one?  As a seller of a property do I have a choice whether my Agent uses either or both?

Don't pay any attention to what the estate agents tell you, as they are experts in directing clients' advertising dollars in the direction that gives the estate agent the best exposure (that's why so many of them still want their clients to pay for print advertising).

My advice is to look at where most purchaser go when looking for real estate, and the fact is that Realestate.com.au is the market leader, with Domain.com.au second.  All the others are so far down the list that they are not worth bothering with.

Don't choose between Realestate.com.au and Domain.com.au.  Rather, choose both of them, and then consider whether you really need any other form of real estate advertising.
