Hi all,
Brand new to the forums, but dearly needing some advice.
Basically we are waiting to bid on an auction this saturday and have been approached by the realestate agent saying that a prior offer has been made.
My query rests with the honesty of agents surround 'prior offers'...Can they make them up, or do they have to have a genuine prior offer to come to a potential purchaser. We are somewhat sceptical of the timing of this 'prior offer' as the market price for homes in this area don't seem to have been reaching what has been apparently offered. We think it may be a ploy to show our hand and put in an offer before the auction that would be higher than what we would necessarily hope to win on the day with.
Any advice would be greatly beneficial!
Cheers, ency
