Apology To Dr. Claire Noone, Director Consumer Affairs Victoria

In September 2010, Peter Mericka, director of Lawyers Real Estate Pty Ltd (‘LRE’), published an article entitled ‘Consumer Affairs Victoria – the Reason We Need a Corruption Commission ‘ (‘the article’ ) on this website. In the article , Mr Mericka states that Dr Noone is a ‘disgrace ‘, has pursued Mr Mericka and LRE ‘for corrupt self-interest’ and has displayed a ‘corrupt charade’. These statements were republished in various correspondence, emails and a blog conducted by Mr Mericka. Mr Mericka accepts that the statements made about Dr Noone are untrue and unconditionally retracts the statements made. Mr Mericka sincerely apologises to Dr. Noone and her colleagues for any hurt or embarrassment caused.
