Section 27 Deposit Release – What Nonsense!

Section 27 of the Sale of Land Act is a piece of nonsense legislation and Victoria is the only state in Australia to have such a silly provision. It’s relied upon by real estate agents to have their commission paid early, and is a catalyst for misery as real estate agents promise vendors that the deposit will be released early, and harass purchasers and their legal representatives when it is not. Why Email is Better Than the Telephone
